What to expect on the day
Here you will find everything you need to know to get ready for The Banham Marsden March and what you can expect on the big day!
Essentials to bring with you
1. Comfortable clothes & shoes
Choose comfortable trainers or walking shoes and your Banham Marsden March t-shirt and cap. Don't forget to attach your personalised back panel.
2. Your participant number
Everyone taking part must always wear their participant number. Under 16s also need to wear the wristband included in their pack.
3. A water bottle
We’ll have bottles of water available at checkpoints on-route, but please ensure you bring your own bottle of water to use at our refillable stations and some light snacks.
4. Coach tickets
If you have booked coach travel you will need to bring your printed coach ticket with you on the day. These are included in your fundraising pack.
What should I wear?
Footwear and clothing suitable for taking part
It is important to choose comfortable footwear and clothing appropriate for the event. We recommend comfortable trainers or walking shoes. Please remember to check the weather and prepare for the day accordingly. This includes wearing clothes that will keep you either warm or cool, packing waterproofs and bringing suncream with you.
Your Banham Marsden March T-shirt and cap
You'll receive a T-shirt and cap in your fundraising pack. If your T-shirt doesn't fit, bring it with you on the day and you can exchange it for another size at the start line (stock is limited).
Your personalised back panel
Your back panel is your personal space to share your own message about why you are taking part and to inspire your fellow participants. We encourage you to customise it and attach it to the back of your T-shirt on the day using the safety pins included in your pack.
Fancy dress is encouraged!
Many people choose to take part in costumes. On the day you’ll see teams with brilliant costumes, accessories, and customised back panels.
